- Lot Description
- 11 in VF-20 with only 50 higher at PCGS! After 1842's large production of dimes at the New Orleans Mint (over two million), the mintage of dimes in 1843 fell to 150,000. Such a low initial mintage from a pre-Civil War coin has resulted in only 200 estimated survivors in all grades. The current example is a wholesome and original steel grey example with a good strike and even wear graded PCGS VF-20. The perfect pickup for a collector of Seated dimes or the type collector who enjoys rarity in their examples (ls).
