Lot Description

The counterpart to the BU High Relief double eagle in the PCGS "rattler" holder offered above, this example in a Generation 2.1 holder is dressed in warm orange-gold color with wisps of pale pinkish-rose evident as the surfaces rotate under a light. Both sides are sharply defined throughout this classic design, and the satiny mint luster is suitably full with only wispy hairlines explaining the MS-61 grade. Sure to see spirited bidding among both 20th century gold enthusiasts and old holder collectors.
