Toned Mint State + 1840 Silver $1. 1840 Seated Liberty $1. MS-62+ PCGS. CAC. An attractive and colorful example of the first date in the new circulating design type, one that would last, with some modifications along the way, until 1873. The lustrous steel-gray surfaces exhibit some prooflike reflectivity and a bright light brings out a dazzling array of rich neon-blue, orange, and crimson iridescence. Absolutely deserving of the “+” designation from PCGS. PCGS #6926
