Lot Description

BB Die State II. Coin gray surfaces exhibit light pearl and golden-tan overtones that have a somewhat streaky distribution on the reverse. A few scratches around Liberty's chin try to blend in with adjustment marks in and around the central obverse; the latter are as made, the former join wispy hairlines that accuracy also compels us to mention. This piece is boldly defined overall, however, and with none of the blemishes overly distracting during in-hand viewing it is a suitable VF example of a challenging early silver dollar design type.
