FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION A bold and highly reflective near-GEM Cameo Proof example. Thickly frosted devices are fully struck and stand out with an exceptional contrast to the surrounding mirrored fields. The fields are intensely reflective with deep beaming untoned brilliance. The eye appeal is very high end, free of any distracting marks, lines, or discolorations of any kind. Only 960 Proofs were struck. PCGS 10, NGC 2, CAC 3. The most recent example to sell in auction brought $2,640 in August 2020; more recently we sold a PCGS PR64+ CAM CAC example in our April 2021 sale of the Boylston Collection, Part 1 for $3,643.
