1870 Round $1. BG-1205. Rarity-4+. Lantern-Jawed "Goofy" Head. MS-64 PL (NGC). Plain or crudely reeded edge. Deep yellow-gold with lively olive highlights on frosty motifs and mirror fields. Gold plated over a silver core. The strike is bold throughout, as is the eye appeal. As nice as you will see for the variety in an NGC holder. From "Unknown Maker C."
