Lot 745 1925-S. NGC graded MS-63.This is a rare date today, and like most of the mintmarked gold coins on the 1920s virtually the entire mintage was melted in the post 1933 era. Here is one of the nicer ones to cross our desks, with ample mint luster, a solid strike and clean surfaces. Both sides are quite frosty. So ignore the 3,776,500 pieces mintage of this date and mint and realize that fewer than 1,000 still exist today.
