Lot Description

Despite generous mintages, the coins were not generally well made, with die polishing wearing down quickly--leaving very few DCAMs for collectors. Indeed, out of 3,790 minted, PCGS has only graded three coins in DCAM, all PR66. This coin enjoys stunning reflection, with deep mirrors that are fully beaming with ultra clarity and have a great black and white contrast on both sides. The devices really do stand out with thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is exceptional! PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 4 (we smell a resub or two). Clearly there is duplication in the Population Report. The most recent example to sell in auction was in the 2017 ANA auction, where it realized $8,225; the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,200.
