This is a magnificent, PQ GEM, which is on the cusp of a full SUPERB grade. This MS66+ranks among the highest graded examples of this New Orleans mint half dime; tied for second HIGHEST graded at NGC. Frosty, brilliant silver surfaces gleam with a magnificent silver luster. The reverse has some semi-reflective Prooflike tendencies. The devices are sharply impressed from lightly clashed dies; the clash marks are virtually the only marks you see anywhere. The eye appeal is incredible! PCGS 9, NGC 18, CAC 10. There are just two in MS66+ at PCGS and just two finer. This is NOT the one that sold in November 2019, and is on par with the PCGS/CAC MS66+ that we sold in May 2018 for $5,875. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,500.
