Description du lot: 1796 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-63, B-2. Rarity-4. Small Date, Small Letters. Fine-12 (PCGS). Attractive medium gray centers are offset by deep slate peripheries on this evenly circulated early dollar. Not only is this the most challenging of the major type issues to obtain for 1796, but it is a scarcer Guide Book variety as well, with the Small Date and Small Letters combination. Not many of these survived and collectors would do well to secure one when it is offered. A classic mid-grade coin that will suit any collector who is seeking a circulated example of the type, date or variety. BB Die State I.
