- 1928-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-64+ (PCGS). CAC.
Speckled russet and powder blue iridescence rings the obverse border and speaks volumes about the originality of this lovely near-Gem. Frosty and predominantly smooth in hand, there is little separating this PQ example from an even higher numeric grade. The 1928-S is rarer than the 1927-S in Mint State and ranks among the more elusive issues of this type. Gems are rare, and given the infrequency with which they are offered in today's market, this impressive MS-64+ coin is sure to sell for a strong bid.
Provenance: From the Collection of Silas Stanley Roberts, 1888-1966.
PCGS# 6588. NGC ID: 24RB.
