FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. This is a low mintage, very rare date Liberty $2.50. Very flashy, fully prooflike luster beams from all over. The devices are very well struck with complete definition and the eye appeal is enhanced by the beautiful gold color that oozes from both sides. Only 8,720 were struck for circulation. PCGS 29, NGC 14, CAC 6. With just seven graded higher, there is likely some duplication in the populations. The last PCGS MS64 CAC to sell in auction was back in June 2013, realizing $3,819 and the current Collector's Universe value is listed at $3,500. Keep in mind that the last PCGS MS65 (not CAC) sold for $15,275! A great coin for any set of late date Liberty Head quarter eagles. Cert. Number 35258149 PCGS # 7842
