1805 C-1 R2- Repunched 5 PCGS graded MS64 Brown.Lustrous mix of light olive and steel brown with lighter golden tan faded down from mint color in a few of the protected areas. The only notable marks are an extremely faint diagonal hairline in the hair at the top of the ear and a tiny planchet flake at the dentils under the second 0 in the denominator (as struck). LDS, Manley state 2.0. Most of the dentils on the reverse are gone. The rim cuds at MER, IC, and right of the fraction are not visible due to a very narrow rim in that area on this strike. The repunching at the top of the 5 remains clear and the reverse is rotated 15 degrees clockwise. A very nice example of the popular Small 5 without Stems "Redbook" variety. Our grade is MS63.The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer in 65 for the variety.Estimate Value $5,000 - UP
