- Lot Description
- 1856 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-63 (NGC). Frosty surfaces. Partially brilliant with blushes of blended rose and olive iridescence. Most design features show bold definition excepting the eagle's right leg and left talon. Liberty's hair details are bold and the obverse stars are about as sharp as could be desired. Although nearly 400,000 examples were originally produced, probably no more than 200 examples grading MS-63 or finer could be accounted for today.
