1863 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-65 Cameo (NGC). This Gem Cameo displays a veneer of violet that darkens somewhat at the margins and is joined on the reverse by wisps of deep russet here and there. The frosted design features yield pronounced contrast against the mirrored fields. Some scattered hairlines in the fields may be all that stand in the way of an even higher grade. PCGS# 86417.
