- DUPLICATES FROM THE BLACKCAT COLLECTION A truly GORGEOUS "Skinny Eagle" pattern cent that pairs this popular obverse with the regular issue reverse. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge, this is a Rarity-5 pattern with 30-76 estimated to have been struck. Exceptional quality everything and one of the FINEST KNOWN. Wonderful original skin is enlivened by a lovely underlying reflection. There are no lines, spots, discolorations, or marks of any kind visible to the naked eye or even under the close inspection with a strong glass. A wonderful GEM. PCGS 9, NGC 3, CAC 6. The most recent example sold in our Regency Auction 51 for $7,344. Two other examples sold for $9,000, which is the current PCGS Price Guide value.
