Lot Description

This is a particularly lustrous and vibrant Capped Bust half dollar with a brilliance usually not seen on CHOICE graded pieces. Well struck with complete, crisp definition on both sides. Perhaps dipped ages ago, there is a blush of gold at the peripheries. The eye appeal is very pleasing and there are no serious marks, lines, or discolorations worthy of mention on this nice example. PCGS 151, NGC 80. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $2,160 in March 2021 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,800.
