1816 Matron Head Cent. N-4. Rarity-2. MS-63 BN (PCGS). A satiny autumn and medium brown example with glints of original color still adhering to the protected areas around some of the devices. Denticulation is light along the left obverse border, yet bolder elsewhere, and the central devices are smartly impressed with bold to sharp detail. Overall smooth and aesthetically pleasing Choice Uncirculated quality for the premier issue in the Matron Head cent series. Noyes Die State A/A.
