1793 S-4, Breen-5. Rarity-3+. Chain, AMERICA. VF-25 BN (NGC). The surfaces of this wonderful Chain cent are exceptional and virtually flawless. Light abrasions, visible only under magnification, are the result of over 200 years of handling, and must be expected. Prominent periods after the date and LIB¬ ERTY instantly identify this die marriage. Heavy die cracks from the obverse border at 7:00 extend into the hair and downward toward the date.
