A sparkling lustrous near-GEM example from the first year of the gold dollar denomination. Ultra brilliant mint lustrous yellow-gold surfaces gleam and glow boldly across both sides. A sharply struck jewel with great visual allure. Only with the aid of a strong glass can you find the tiny mark or two that keep it out of a GEM holder. Needless to say the eye appeal is great. PCGS 22, NGC 28, CAC 11. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000 and the CAC CPG value is $6,470. It has been almost two years since the last one sold.
