FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. Bold, brilliant, deeply reflective mirrors beam with a blinding strength that contrasts beautifully against the strikingly frosted devices. This SUPERB GEM has a light iridescent gold on both sides. A couple of lint marks are seen on the cheek, as made at the mint and a strong glass reveals a few trivial lines. The eye appeal is very pleasing and is a delight to behold. Only 762 Proofs were struck. PCGS 12, NGC 20. VERY RARE any finer, with just six coins graded finer in the CAMEO designation. Prior to our March 2019 Regency Auction, the last non-CAC example to sell in auction brought $3,760 in March 2016. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,250.
