Lot Description
1760 Hibernia-Voce Populi Halfpenny. Zelinka 4-B, Nelson-2, W-13940. Rarity-3. "1700." EF-40. 111.7 grains. Smooth chocolate brown with good detail at centers. A few little marks are noted under a glass, one inside O of VOCE, a few on the chest of Hibernia, none serious. Excellent eye appeal. Were it not for the previous two pieces, we might go on at some length about how nice this is for a Nelson-2. It is far better than most. As noted on the Craige envelope, the early die state pieces like this are the ones with the best central strike. PCGS# 274. Provenance: From the Ted L. Craige Collection.
