1827 N-8 R3 PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved.Frosty tan and light brown with medium steel brown toning on the portrait. Sharply struck and very attractive, but there are numerous microscopic ticks on the obverse, mostly on the portrait and in the fields. These tiny ticks are barely visible with a strong glass. The only other mark is a minor puff of darker toning on the leaf below the A in STATES. The reverse looks mint state. MDS with the usual die crack through the first 3 stars and minor flowlines in the fields. Graded AU55 net AU50 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #31667. Our grade is AU50.The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 4 finer: 1 in 63, 2 in 64, 1 in 66. PCGS #36859.Estimated Value $800 - UP
