1864 Two-Cent Piece. Small Motto. MS-63 BN (PCGS). The 1864 Small Motto is a key to the short-lived two cent series. In fact, some consider it to be a pattern issue. This piece is sharply struck on each side, with traces of mint red still visible on the obverse and reverse. For pedigree purposes, a tiny black spot is seen over the TE of STATES on the reverse.
