1845 Liberty Head Eagle. EF-40 (PCGS). OGH. Handsome deep orange surfaces with iridescent pinkish-rose highlights that are more prevalent on the reverse. Boldly to sharply defined with faint traces of original luster. The Philadelphia Mint produced just 26,153 circulation strike eagles in 1845, survivors of which are equally as scarce as those of the 1846 and 1849-O issues. PCGS# 8592. NGC ID: 262U.
