- 34 graded PR-66 CAM, 11 higher at NGC. The centennial 5-cent nickel in well-preserved proof format turns out to be just as elusive as the NGC statistics indicate when strong cameo contrast is desired. Unusually bright, pristine brilliance emanates from this remarkable example, offering brightly mirrored, gleaming fields and beautifully frosted devices. As usually seen, doubling shows clearly at the date, the lower edge of the shield, and along some of the lower leaves in the wreath.
