Lot Description

1793 S-3 R3- PCGS graded Mint State-50 (About Uncirculated-50). Chain AMERICA. Dull dark steel brown, probably lighdy cleaned and retoned, the surfaces now covered with heavy oxidation. There is a tiny planchet flake at the top of the 3, a couple more just right of the ear, and a few others scattered about the reverse, the only notable one under the left side of the U in UNITED. These tiny planchet voids were in the planchet prior to striking. No corrosion or contact marks. MDS with clear die clash- marks on the obverse. Needs a little TLC to bring out the underlying luster. EAC grade net VF35, possibly better after the TLC.
