1844-O Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-5. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. Pretty golden-olive surfaces are predominantly lustrous with a lively frosty texture. Light die lapping has weakened some of the design elements (stars 5-6 on the obverse, feathers and leaves around eagle's right talon on the reverse), but the strike itself is sharp with most features crisp. This is an attractive and original near-Mint 1844-O that should attract attention in today's highly competitive numismatic market. Worthy of premium bids.
