- 1864 Indian Cent. Bronze. Proof-64 RB (NGC). There were three different types of Proof Indian cents produced in 1864: the copper-nickel variety, the bronze With L variety, and the bronze No L type. This is an example of the bronze No L variant, of which probably very few specimens were originally struck. It is sharply struck, with attractive red-brown toning, and touches of cobalt-blue color near the center of the obverse.
