Lot Description

A handsome S-291 in a popular collector grade. Deep, brown surfaces are not too dark, to harm the visual quality. Pleasing definition is seen on both sides, the surfaces are hard, devoid of any environmental or planchet issues. The time in commercial channels did not put too many minor marks or ticks of any kind on either side. The eye appeal is nice for an issue that rarely comes nice. PCGS 17, NGC 16. The last one to sell realized $1,880 in April 2017; before that the last one to sell was in our December 2013 Regency Auction for $2,760. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,500.
