Lot Description

10.1 grains. Light silver gray devices contrast with darker steel-gray fields. Sharp but a trifle granular, good overall eye appeal. The right side of the reverse is a little soft from the break in that vicinity, though the letters AN in ENGLAND can still be made out. That side is nicely centered and shows full legends. The obverse is shifted towards 6 o'clock, as usual for this Noe number, but only the tops of the letters IN are affected at the lower border. The alignment of Ford:65 is very similar. All in all a nice collectible example of the only domestically produced North American colonial issue bearing the 1662 date.
