Lot Description

Blushes and swaths of steel-olive, pinkish-russet and charcoal-gray enliven a base of antique silver patina, the toning speaking volumes about the originality of this piece. The strike is sharp, the luster full with a smooth, billowy texture. Early date New Orleans Mint half dollars, while generally obtainable in circulated grades, are scarce to rare in Mint State and always in demand.
