A prime candidate for any advanced Registry Set, this Superb Gem from the first year of the Franklin half dollar is bested by just a single MS-67+ FBL in the PCGS Population Report. Both sides are nearly pristine, as you would expect of a coin certified at such a lofty level. A dappled russet-gold, olive-tan, antique silver, and pale champagne mélange grace both sides, with a strong underlying luster to provide wonderful backlighting as you rotate the surfaces in a light. An exacting blow from the dies rendered all the details, including the bell lines, complete. An exceptional coin worthy of the finest of sets.
