- Vida D. Bertie's Consignment. A full gem grade would almost seem inevitable for such a handsome, lustrous 3-cent nickel, as each side proffers smooth opulence and pleasing ruddy-grey toning. Perhaps a few minor carbon flecks that stray toward the obverse right field were deemed too noticeable by NGC to allow for upgrade.
