FROM THE WOLVERINE COLLECTION. No question this coin is among the FINEST KNOWN of this date. It is fully SUPERB and amazing in every way. Both the technical and aesthetic qualities are immaculate and pristine. Bold, swirling cartwheel luster blooms and rolls smoothly and uninterrupted on both sides. The surfaces are FLAWLESS. Sharply struck devices stand out against the smooth, totally defect free fields. Beautifully toned on both sides with exceptional iridescent and pastel toning, which is richer on the obverse. The eye appeal is stunning! PCGS 5, NGC 7, CAC 6. There are two MS67+ graded as the FINEST, this one and the Simpson coin, which we most recently sold in September 2018 for $9,988, well in excess of the current Collector's Universe value.
