Lot Description

2 graded MS-67+ FBL "star", zero higher at NGC. An outrageous melange of crimson-gold, lavender and bronze-yellow colors swath both sides in reverberating fashion, with colorful effects that can only have involved decades of mint-set storage. Vivid concentration of the orange toward the obverse upper and right rims and almost the whole reverse rim frame the eye-appeal to such an extent that NGC could not avoid providing the "star" designation, so fitting in this context. Intensely lustrous and truly a highlight of today's auction.
