- 1886 Liberty Head Eagle. MS-63+ (PCGS). CAC.
This is an endearing piece that sports handsome rose-orange patina, billowy mint luster and a razor sharp strike. Thanks to the repatriation of many examples from foreign bank hoards, the 1886 is a readily obtainable issue by 1880s Liberty Head eagle standards, at least in grades up to and including MS-62. Coins that are as smooth and attractive as this premium Choice example are rare and always in demand among today's quality-conscious gold collectors.
