"1783" (ca. 1820) Military Bust Copper. Musante GW-109H, Baker-4, Vlack 8-E, W-10220. Large Military Bust. AU-50 (PCGS). Pleasing chestnut-brown surfaces exhibit some soft luster and pale mint orange iridescence in the protected areas. Altogether pleasing to the naked eye. Provenance: From our sale of the Collections of The Strong, Rochester, New York, Winter 2014 Baltimore Auction, November 2014, lot 6336. Originally collected by John Charles Woodbury (1859-1937).
