Lot Description
This monster is tied for FINEST and here is a gorgeously toned, fabulous SUPERB GEM Mercury dime. Absolutely stunning multicolored hues bathe both the obverse and reverse, a result of long term storage in a paper envelope or old album where it was able to sit undisturbed for years. Deep reddish-orange dominates the obverse, while the reverse is ringed with bands of rainbow iridescent tone. Flashy mint luster glows brilliantly from under the toning, enlivening the various shades, giving them a real pizzazz in the light. PCGS 11. NGC 7, CAC 5. There are three in 68+ and NONE FINER. We sold the only one in our June 2019 Regency Auction for a record price of $7,638; this one is just as vibrant and beautiful. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $8,000 and with none finer, this is worth placing in a world class collection of colorfully toned jewels! Cert. Number 38670450 PCGS # 5026.00
