Description du lot
1860 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. MS-61 (NGC). Pretty iridescent champagne-pink highlights adorn the peripheries of this otherwise bright gold three-dollar gold piece. Sharply struck and highly lustrous, this is a rare and attractive Mint State survivor from a mintage of just 7,036 circulation strikes. The 1860 is elusive in all grades with fewer than 500 coins believed extant in all grades, most of which are worn from having seen circulation on the West Coast during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. PCGS# 7980. NGC ID: 25ME. Click here for certification details from NGC.
