- Lot Description
- 1909-S Barber Dime. MS-65 (NGC). Vibrant mint bloom with a bit of light, iridescent-gold toning drifting toward the borders. A low mintage affair with just 1 million pieces produced, the 1909-S vies with the 1896-S as the fifth rarest S-mint Barber dime issue in Mint State. Jeff Ambio (<em>Collecting & Investing Strategies for Barber Dimes</em>, 2009) accounts for only 80-95 Uncs, most of which grade no finer than MS-64.
