Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-107, intermediate die-state. The true prime die-state is considered rare, and this is not quite a true prime example, but it does lack the die crack usually seen through the clasp. As always, both sides flaunt extensive clash marks. Smoke-grey toning thickens a bit in the obverse right field, and lightly shades over the entire reverse, which helps to conceal any evidence of cabinet friction.
