- In a collection full of high grade and high end Capped Bust half dollars it might seem that these are available readily. THEY ARE NOT! This GEM 1821 has a classic look offering a vivid cartwheel luster that smoothly rolls unimpeded along both sides. The swirling luster brings the classic blue and golden hues to life. Fully struck up devices stand out wonderfully against the surrounding fields. A strong glass and intense scrutiny might reveal a stray line or two somewhere but the overall look is truly Premium Quality and worthy of the lofty grade assigned. PCGS 3, NGC 13. The most recent PCGS MS65 to sell was the ex Link O-107 that we sold for $15,275 in our January 2017 Regency Auction. For the date, there are only three examples graded finer at PCGS, the finest being the MS66+ Noblet-Pogue O-107 that sold in September 2017 for $64,625. This remarkable coin is worthy of the finest cabinet of Capped Bust halves or a very carefully selected type set. Cert. Number 81264708 PCGS # 6128
