1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. Noe-10, W-750. Rarity-3. Without Pellets at Trunk, N Reversed. VF-25 (PCGS). 69.44 grains. Deep steel gray throughout. Obverse nicely centered, rim to very tops of MAS, retrograde N at IN, usual striations at top of rim, worn but not noticeably marked, reverse also nicely centered, weak at NE and LA, no noticeable marks to the unassisted eye. A solid representative example of Noe-10. PCGS# 23 Provenance: Purchased from Heritage at the F.U.N. Convention, January 1997.
