1883 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. AU-55 (PCGS). Vivid peripheral toning in iridescent olive and cobalt blue gives way to lighter pinkish-rose and silver-gray in the centers. Far scarcer than an identically dated Proof, this 1883 half dollar hails from a limited circulation strike mintage of 8,000 pieces, few of which were saved after entering commercial channels.
