1839 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Reeded Edge. HALF DOL. GR-7. Rarity-1. Large Letters. MS-63 (PCGS). Intense satin luster blankets surfaces that are brilliant apart from halos of peripheral golden-apricot iridescence. Well struck for the die pair, most features are sharply rendered and crisp.
