1796 Draped Bust Quarter. B-2. Rarity-3. AG-3 (PCGS). Really an ideal 1796 quarter at the assigned grade level, both sides deliver originally toned, smooth-looking surfaces. The obverse also with a fully denticulated border and all major features boldly outlined. Portions of the reverse design are smooth, but most features on that side are still discernible. First of the United States Mint's regular issue quarters, and the only one of the Draped Bust, Small Eagle design, the 1796 is a strong performer throughout the numismatic grading scale.
