1892 Columbian Exposition. MS-65 PL (PCGS). An exciting coin, tied for finest certified at PCGS in the PL category. Vivid olive-gray, pale pink and brick-red iridescence blankets the obverse, while the reverse has a bisecting swath of antique silver interrupting otherwise dominant steel-rose. Both sides are mirrored in the fields, the design elements with a softly frosted texture. While the strike is not up to the standards required for a Proof of this type, this is still a superior quality example in terms of both production and preservation. Worthy of the strongest bids.
