Halos of exceptionally vivid cobalt blue and reddish-gold iridescence frame the peripheries on both ides and explain the coveted * designation for superior eye appeal from NGC. Brilliant in the centers with a bold strike and full quota of bight, satiny luster. This is a popular type issue in the Stars Obverse portion of the Liberty Seated dime series, and the present example is particularly attractive and desirable at the Gem Mint State level.
