1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-57. Rarity-1. Head of 1794. VF-25 BN (NGC). Handsome walnut-brown surfaces with warmer olive-gray outlines to many of the devices, especially on the reverse. Overall detail is bold for the assigned grade, although the obverse border is devoid of denticulation. A few marks and light pits are largely confined to the lower right obverse. The diagnostic button on the cap, actually a die cutter's slip, is faint yet discernible with patience. PCGS# 35633. NGC ID: 223P. Provenance: Ex Eric P.
